 Encourage America™ is a local recognition program to acknowledge the good deeds and extraordinary accomplish- ments of ordinary citizens. It provides the opportunity and tools for communities to recognize the best efforts of their own people.

Why do we need Encourage America™?
 Watch TV or read the paper - there is an endless supply of bad news. We receive almost daily doses of negativism. Yet all around us, simple acts of human kindness occur every day and go unrecognized.
Encourage America™ can help change our perspective. We can help balance the bad news with the good. By participating in the Encourage America™ program, each of us is empowered to take action to recognize and encourage activities that build strong communities.

Local citizens and businesses sponsor the Encourage America™ program. Sponsors are identified on the web site. Any person, using the nomination form in this brochure, can nominate someone from the community for special recognition by completing and submitting the form.
 Nominees typically demonstrate outstanding citizenship and concern for others. For example, volunteering at a food pantry, leading a youth group or helping an elderly neighbor. These mostly unsung acts of caring provided with little fanfare can now be recognized and rewarded with the Encourage America™ program.
